What is Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing Software that everyone is talking about?

The main Idea behind Butterfly Marketing is combining a membership site with an affiliate program.  Mike Filsaime created an ideal viral marketing system.  With this software the backbone of your membership site is setup for you.  You just need to add your content, and drive traffic to your site.

You can setup many different kinds of websites with this software, paid or free.  I am setting up a Free Membership Site at http://www.im-organizer.com.  The incentive is to give my prospects free gifts for joining my site.  When the prospect joins and logs in the first time, they will see two one-time offers.  They are not required to buy anything.  Inside the site they will be able to access their Free Gifts for joining.

NOW comes the cool part of Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing Software.  Once they have joined my site, everyone automatically becomes my Affiliate for this site.  What the incentive then is for my Affiliates to get their clients/prospects/list to join my site through their affiliate link.  When they get someone to join through their affiliate link, and that person buys one of my “One-Time-Offers”, they get 50% of the Cost of the Product/Service.

The Affiliate Program imbedded within Butterfly Marketing, is the greatest part of the software.  You are able to create a “Promo Tools Page”, for your affiliates.  You can create autoresponder emails, blog posts, banners, text links, tell a friend scripts and many more promotional tools, that have your Affiliates Link automatically embedded into all the promo tools.

Inside the site I have a page called “Earn Money”, that explains how the affiliate program works. Payments to your Affiliates and you are handled easily.  With a “Split Pay” setup, when someone buys through your affiliate link, they make two payments, one to you and the other to your affiliate.

Your Affiliates will also have access to a “Stats Page” which will tell them how many sales they have made.

Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing Software has many helpful benefits and features.

1. Multiple Membership Levels – Easy to set multiple membership levels with different rights to different parts of the Website.  You are able to set rights to your products, by membership level.  They will only show up for each user depending on their membership level, when they are logged in.
2. Protected Download Section – You are able to save your eBooks, Software and other Products you are selling or giving to your customers in a Protected Area.  Anyone that is not a member of you site will not be able to access your Products.  With the way the memberships are setup, you control what each membership level see’s in their download section.
3. Build in Autoresponder or you can integrate with many other Autoresponders.  They have a nice Autoresponder system build-in to the software.  What I like is you can integrate the Butterfly Marketing Software with all the top Autoresponder Companies.  I use EmailAces and it works great.  When someone signs up at your site, it sends an email to your Autoresponder and signs up the user to your account.  The software works great with AWeber, GetResponse and many others.
4. Help Desk System – This Help Desk System is build into the software.  When a user is logged into your site, they can make a support ticket for any issues they have.  It’s easy to manage your user’s issues when you are logged into the admin area.  You are able to reply to users request and keep good track of their problems.  If you see an issue over and over, it’s a good idea to put the solutions in the FAQ section for your users.  This means less work for you in the long run.
5. Split Testing – One of the most important parts of this Butterfly Marketing Software.  This is what Butterfly Marketing is about, you want to make one small change and test it against your current page.  Example:  You change the Headline color.  So you have two pages, each with different headline colors.  The two different pages then rotate for every other user that sees your sales page.  After a while you can see which page converts better, (more sales), and then you can start using this page as your main one.  Then you start over and do another test, like testing a new headline.  Keep split testing and you will have a very high converting sales page.

Parts of the Butterfly Marketing Software that are hard to use.

One of the main things that I don’t like about this software is the lack of documentation.  They do have many videos to help you with each step.  I recommend watching each video and doing the step as you watch.  I had to do this with the install and configuration of the software.  I recommend watching all the videos, as they will help you get your website up and running.  The first time I installed the website, I didn’t follow the videos in a row and did something wrong while making some changes to the site.  I had to start over, but having done it once, the install went very fast the second time.  Once you get the software figured out, it’s nice because Butterfly Marketing Software is so versatile in that you can use it for so many different types of websites.  After using it for a while, you can get a website installed and up and running in a very short time.

The second part I don’t care for is the Admin Interface Area.  Pretty basic setup, and it takes a while to figure out where everything is.  Here again, I recommend watching the videos and this will help you a lot.

Overall this is VERY POWERFULL Website Software, and I would recommend it to anyone that is serious about Internet Marketing.  This software has taken my Internet Marketing Business to the next level.  I see sites all over the Internet that use Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing Software and they are making tons of money because of it.  The cost is not low, but it’s one of the best investments you can make in your Internet Marketing Business and remember its tax deductible.
