Should I use the nofollow or dofollow attribute on my wordpress blog
Should we all use the default dofollow attribute in our blog comments or should we give people who comment on our blog a good backlink to their site?
In WordPress the default setting for comments is the nofollow attribute, which means that Google and other search engines will not follow that link and give them credit in the Ranking of websites.
I believe that we as bloggers, should allow the dofollow attribute on our blogs. If someone takes the time and effort to leave a good comment on your blog, you should give them the backlink to their blog / website.
I approve all comments before they appear on my blog. This gives me the chance to check out the website that the link go’s to. If I don’t like the site, I don’t approve the comment.
I use a wordpress plugin called “Do Follow” to turn off the default “nofollow” attribute in my blog.
