How many times do you plan on working on one project and then get side tracked by something else?

With instant messaging, phone calls, emails and the Internet, its very easy to get side tracked.  You can have all the good intentions of working on a project, and then get off on a tangent. 

I know I have been guilty of this while working on my Online Business.  There is so much to do running a Internet Marketing Business, and if you don’t organize and prioritize your projects you will never get anywhere.

Write Down Your Plan!

The first thing you need to do is sit down and list all the projects you are working on.  Then you need to prioritize the projects so you know which one you need to work on first.

Next you need to break down each project into smaller bits.  This is so important, if you look at the whole project, you will get overwhelmed.  Breaking it down into smaller parts makes a big project easier to handle.  Break each part down into the smallest task.  Its easier to think about working on something that will only take a few hours or a day, than something that will take weeks or months.

Focus is the Key to Success

This applies to Systems and Products that you buy also.  How many of us, me included are guilty of this?  You pay lots of money for the next Internet Marketing System / Product.  You start using the system, and a week or two later, something new comes out and you buy that and start over.

Information OVERLOAD!  Its very easy to get information overload in the Internet Marketing Business.  When I started in Internet Marketing, this is what happened to me.  FOCUS is the key, you need to take action on one system and stick with it long enought to see if it works.  You need to follow the system to the letter.

I have found out the hard way, when working a new system, I want to make small or big changes because I think I know better.  If you paid big money for an Internet Marketing Guru’s System, there is a good reason they want you to take the steps they have laid out for you.

Too many people only try parts of the Marketing System and fail and then blame the Internet Marketing Guru because they failed.  Most of these systems that the Guru’s are selling do work well, but you need to follow them step by step. 

Don’t get side tracked and stay focused and you will build a profitable Internet Marketing Business.
