Mike Filsaime’s TweetGlide Product Review

Mike Filsaime released a new Twitter Application about a month ago called TweetGlide.

After using TweetGlide for the last month or so, I give it a thumbs up.

Mike Filsaime has created a useful program what works well with Twitter.  There are a few issues that I don’t care for, but I am sure Mike will work them out.

TweetGlide works just like TweetDeck in the look and use of the program.  Just like TweetDeck, TweetGlide is Free to download and use.  It is a Twitter Application plus a Viral Makerting  and Referral System for Internet Marketers.

Twitter Application System

You are able to send all your tweets to Twitter from the software.  You can view your friends feed and see current tweets.

You can view your @Mentions, which is so very handy.  I always thank people for ReTweets.  These are the people who are passing the word around about us, so treat them right.

You are able to connect with your Facebook account and then have a column where you can see your Facebook Friends Tweets.  Nice addition to the program.   ;-)

TweetGlide has a build in URL Shortener.  This saves you a step of using another site or program.

They have a Twitter Tracking Stats page where you can see how many clicks your tweets are getting.  I found this to be very useful.

Viral Marketing  and Referral System

Since Mike believes in viral marketing so much, he added this into TweetGlide.  As a Free Member you get to create up to 5 ads that will rotate in turns.  For each Tweet you make through the program you get 0.2 ad credits.  So for every 5 tweets you make, your ad will show up to ALL TweetGlide Users.  A Free member can place an ad every three hours.

This is the part that I like the best.  As I have 2,500 or so followers on Twitter, when my ad shows up in TweetGlide I am getting a lot more eyeballs on my ad.  There are 10’s of thousands, if not 100’s of thousands of users of TweetGlide.  Another thing is your Ad is not going to Twitter, just TweetGlide Users around the world.

I used Mike Filsaime’s PowerLink Generator to make Tracking links that I could use in my TweetGlide Ads to test how many hits I was getting from it.  When my ad shows, I get anywhere from 25 to 200 hits on the ad, depending on the ad, time of day and other factors.

The Referral System build into TweetGlide is a nice way to make a little extra cash.  When you signup for TweetGlide, you get an Affiliate Account.  You can promote the program with your Affiliate links and they also have promotional tools for your use.

What they are selling is a Lifetime Premiere Membership for a one time payment of $97 dollars.  I can’t remember if they had a better One Time Offer when you first download the software, but I recommend if they do that you take it. With a Premiere Membership, you get bigger ads, save up to 20 different ads, 250 free ads and many other benefits.

A Few Problems / Issues with TweetGlide

The main one problem I have is the program uses a lot of computer system resources.  I know on my computer it uses about 140 MB of RAM.

One other issue is with the Friends Feed, when it updates, TweetGlide slows way down.  It did help when I closed the Friends Feeds Column and it did work better.

Since it came out, they have had about 5 or 6 updates to the program.  This means that Mike is updating this program as bugs are found.

Overall TweetGlide is a very useful program and I would recommend that everyone at least check it out, if you use Twitter and have a website or product to promote.
